Good, soulful carving comes from the direct and very personal engagement of the carver with the stone who gets to know its quirks, negotiating and finessing its shape.

Joseph Kincannon was lead carver during the construction of The Cathedral Church of SaintJohn the Divine in NYC before moving to Austin. He is a principal at Kincannon Studios. Joseph and his wife, Holly Kincannon, have collaborated with Haas Designs on several projects
